Immigration Legal Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the client intake process, ensuring a welcoming and professional first impression for potential clients.

• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients throughout their engagement with the firm.

• Organize consultations, appointments, deadlines, and calendar commitments to keep the attorney’s schedule efficient.

• Assist new clients in navigating billing procedures and other administrative requirements.

• Keep accurate records of client information, follow-ups, and internal documentation.

• Support legal workflows related to family and business immigration matters, ensuring that critical details are not overlooked.

• Anticipate administrative needs and address routine client or scheduling issues proactively, minimizing the need for attorney involvement.

• Contribute to the development of reliable processes that lessen administrative burdens, allowing the attorney to concentrate on legal work.

• Embrace broader responsibilities as the practice and client base expand.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior professional experience within a legal environment.

• Experience with an immigration law firm, especially in family and business immigration matters.

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Confidence in managing client intake and serving as the primary client-facing representative of the firm.

• Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage scheduling and administrative workflows effectively.

• Reliable availability and the capability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Experience supporting a solo attorney or a small law firm (preferable).

• Familiarity with immigration case-management or legal practice-management systems (preferable).

• Experience assisting with billing, payment orientation, or client onboarding processes (preferable).
