Imaging Service Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on systems within the designated service area.

• Execute unscheduled maintenance with support from technical assistance.

• Operate independently during preventive maintenance while typically receiving help for unscheduled tasks.

• Carry out installations and de-installations of products and peripheral equipment with some assistance.

• Foster strong relationships with field personnel, home-office staff, management, and customers.

• Communicate with management to escalate issues and address customer concerns.

• Fulfill administrative responsibilities, including electronic expense reports, weekly timesheets, work orders, service appointments, start times, parts inventory, consumption and returns, computer-based training, and QA/RA tasks.

• Maintain customer service orders and internal service records in accordance with Fujifilm policies.

• Engage with customers daily to ensure resolution and follow-up, enhancing customer satisfaction.

• Utilize escalation processes and conduct root-cause analysis to address service delivery challenges.

• Complete documentation accurately, neatly, and on time.

• Travel as necessary, including overnight and air travel.

• Uphold exceptional customer relations.

• Manage assigned tools, test equipment, and spare parts, returning items within designated timeframes.

• Promote the image and reputation of HCUS both internally and externally.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Area Service Manager.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• At least one year of prior field service experience.

• Proficient knowledge of assigned equipment to ensure timely repairs and effective maintenance.

• Strong active listening and above-average customer service skills.

• Excellent organizational and administrative abilities; self-motivated with a capability to manage paperwork to meet FDA and company standards.

• Outstanding analytical and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical issues in an easily understandable manner.

• Competence in operating job-related test equipment, including oscilloscopes, meters, and diagnostic testers.

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Dependability and the ability to work independently.

• Capability to project a professional image.

• Willingness to work irregular hours and occasional overtime; travel as necessary.

• Ability to adhere to U.S. FDA medical device regulatory requirements, ISO 13485 standards, and other relevant laws and regulations.

• Compliance with and ability to pass vendor credentialing requirements for access to hospitals and facilities.

• Capability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, kneeling, crawling, crouching, climbing, balancing, and twisting.

• Ability to work in medical and clinical settings, including construction sites.

• Ability to operate in high magnetic fields of up to 3 Tesla, acknowledging safety risks associated with implanted devices.
