This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide strategic finance leadership for establishing and managing a Project Accounting organization within the Hydro Business.
• Develop a proposal for a future Project Accounting structure and assess options for the Hydro business line.
• Define roles, responsibilities, and operational mechanisms across Region Operations, BU Finance, and FP&A teams.
• Lead and nurture a Controllership and accounting team.
• Streamline and standardize processes and policies.
• Translate concepts into actionable strategies, implement changes, and create responsive programs.
• Supervise project accounting activities, including project setup, actuals booking, revenue recognition, manual journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Enhance connectivity between pacing, GAAP, and statutory and tax financials.
• Establish financial quality processes for legal entities and serve as the main contact for audit inquiries.
• Ensure compliance of project financials with GAAP, statutory regulations, and global accounting policies.
• Communicate the balance sheet position to senior management on a quarterly basis.
• Collaborate with Risk Finance, Functions, Cost teams, Pole, BU Finance, and fulfillment leaders regarding margin reviews and pacing processes.
• Provide support for internal and external audits related to project accounting, balance sheet, and P&L.
• Promote Controllership excellence, internal controls, and the adoption of best practices.
• Advocate for a LEAN culture, lead transformation initiatives, enhance processes, and emphasize automation.
• Identify, recruit, develop, and retain top talent.
• Maintain accountability for the execution of third-party vendors.
• Experience in project accounting roles such as Controller, Risk Finance Leader, or OTR Finance Manager.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.
• At least 8 years of experience in finance or operations functions in progressively larger roles of responsibility.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance leadership.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Certification as a Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Accountant is preferred.
• Experience leading global teams, directly or indirectly, is preferred.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage priorities effectively.
• Strategic thinker with the capability to formulate and implement concrete action plans.
• Adaptability and flexibility in ambiguous scenarios.
• Capability to collaborate with Pole/ITR Finances, Fulfillment, and Operations.
• Strong analytical, project management, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
