HVAC Controls Analyst I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess, confirm, and enhance both new and existing building systems, whether on-site or remotely.

• Strategize, document, and execute work in alignment with Company and energy management industry standards.

• Generate optimized energy and project results for retro-commissioning as well as pertinent new construction commissioning tasks.

• Cooperate with construction management, facilities management, engineers, and trade partners.

• Record, communicate, and devise solutions for technical challenges alongside the project delivery team and Team Manager.

• Complete designated tasks and deliverables promptly.

• Engage in site surveys, documentation assessments, and due diligence processes.

• Take part in design and submittal evaluations for new construction commissioning.

• Utilize CxAlloy to document commissioning scopes.

• Create pre-functional checklists and functional performance tests using CxAlloy.

• Compose technical reports and project observations.

• Execute energy conservation strategies independently or in collaboration with project delivery partners.

• Evaluate pre-functional checklists against actual site conditions.

• Diagnose, optimize, and adjust building system programming.

• Employ test instruments to troubleshoot, verify, and enhance building system operations.

• Oversee and implement functional performance tests for construction scope acceptance.

• Ensure that energy conservation measures and building system programming are documented, comprehended, and preserved.

• Monitor energy performance to help guarantee that performance targets are achieved and sustained.

• Identify, communicate, track, and resolve issues.

• Assist in resolving issues and propose project-related solutions.

• Elevate obstacles to project outcomes and scope completion.

• Follow IS Delivery and IS Technical Services process guidelines and SOPs.

• Maintain the company’s core organizational values.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.

• 1-3 years of experience in commissioning or a related field, focusing on mechanical, electrical, building automation systems, programming, or building operations management.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational capabilities.

• A commitment to safety.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.

• Capacity to work with minimal or limited information.

• Self-motivated or capable of working with limited supervision.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Familiarity with cloud-based commissioning software platforms.

• Engineering Intern (EI) certification is preferred.

• Associate Commissioning Certification from ACG, BCxA, or ASHRAE is preferred.

• AEE Energy Manager in Training (EMIT) certification is preferred.

• Experience in building automation systems design and programming is preferred.

• Willingness to travel 40-60% of the time to job sites and office locations.

• Ability to perform necessary physical activities, including climbing stairs, ascending and descending ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.

• Capability to adjust and/or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
