This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee daily People & Culture operations encompassing payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, learning and development, HR systems, compliance, and employee lifecycle processes.
• Guide, mentor, develop, and coach a team of HR professionals.
• Set performance expectations, accountability standards, service benchmarks, and enhance team capabilities.
• Act as the HR Business Partner for designated business units.
• Provide counsel to leaders on organizational efficiency, workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, leadership effectiveness, and change management.
• Serve as the backup payroll administrator, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time.
• Assist with recruitment, selection, onboarding, and workforce planning efforts.
• Offer advice on employee relations, performance management, investigations, conflict resolution, corrective action, policy interpretation, and organizational changes.
• Aid in performance reviews, talent assessments, succession planning, leadership development, employee development, and retention strategies.
• Ensure adherence to employment laws, regulations, policies, and reporting obligations.
• Drive process enhancements, streamline workflows, implement automation, and lead HR technology initiatives.
• Collaborate with Centers of Excellence, business leaders, and cross-functional partners on People & Culture initiatives and organizational programs.
• Support audits, manage vendor partnerships, and uphold controls, documentation, and governance.
• Lead and engage in People & Culture projects and initiatives.
• Advocate for NERC's culture, values, diversity, inclusion, employee engagement, and professional development.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Over seven years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
• Extensive experience in HR operations, employee lifecycle management, and process enhancement.
• Proven experience managing HR programs, policies, systems, and operational processes within a complex business context.
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws, compliance obligations, HR policies, and best practices in HR.
• Proficient in administering and optimizing HRIS platforms and utilizing HR technology.
• Capability to analyze HR data and metrics effectively.
• Experience in leading cross-functional projects, process improvement initiatives, and change management activities.
• Exceptional organizational, project management, problem-solving, analytical, reconciliation, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Strong skills in employee relations, customer service, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Experience with HRIS systems is mandatory.
• Successful completion of a background check prior to employment.
• Verification of identity and eligibility to work in the United States is required.
• A passport is necessary for travel within North America.
