Payroll and Benefits Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Accurately process payroll on a weekly or semi-monthly basis, ensuring timely delivery

• Review payroll information encompassing new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and deductions

• Conduct audits on payroll records to ensure precision and adherence to compliance standards

• Collaborate with HR and Finance departments regarding payroll modifications and reporting

• Oversee payroll tax submissions and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws

• Reconcile payroll accounts and compile payroll-related reports

• Manage and administer medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement benefit programs

• Oversee employee enrollments, life-event transitions, and the annual open enrollment process

• Act as the main point of contact for inquiries related to employee benefits

• Work with benefit brokers and vendors to address and resolve employee-related issues

• Maintain precise benefits records and ensure regulatory compliance

• Handle employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, STD, and LTD

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or a related area

• Over 5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration

• Practical experience in processing multi-state U.S. payroll

• Background in supporting payroll within a manufacturing setting

• Essential hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems

• Exceptional attention to detail and capability to work autonomously

• Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll laws, taxes, and benefits administration

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and HRIS platforms
