This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Collaborate with regional retail leadership teams and client groups to cultivate a high-performance culture.
β’ Offer strategic HR counsel to support operational success within a retail setting.
β’ Execute and integrate essential HR processes including staffing, performance and potential assessment, succession planning, career development, learning initiatives, and total rewards.
β’ Establish trustworthy partnerships with business leaders and regional HR leaders.
β’ Counsel assigned client groups on enterprise and retail HR programs as well as annual HR activities.
β’ Provide advice and coaching on employee relations, performance management, risk mitigation, and intricate personnel issues.
β’ Convert business strategy, market developments, and operational priorities into people plans and organizational solutions.
β’ Utilize people analytics, business insights, and workforce trends to uncover opportunities and risks.
β’ Set employee engagement objectives and action-planning strategies.
β’ Conduct sensitive investigations with professionalism, discretion, care, and expertise.
β’ Design and implement organizational changes, talent strategies, engagement initiatives, and communication strategies.
β’ Collaborate on talent acquisition, succession planning, development strategies, and retention initiatives.
β’ Act as a liaison between the business, HR teams, and Centres of Excellence.
β’ Work together with HR Centres of Excellence to design, implement, and integrate people programs, policies, processes, and initiatives.
β’ Assist with staffing, onboarding, talent planning, performance evaluation, succession planning, and career development.
β’ Support annual merit and bonus cycles, equity assessments, and compensation recommendations.
β’ Promote continuous improvement in people practices, processes, systems, and operational methods.
β’ Report directly to the Director of Human Resources β Retail.
β’ A minimum of 5β7 years of progressive experience in an HR business partner or generalist role, primarily in a multi-site or retail context.
β’ Post-secondary education in HR, business, or a related discipline.
β’ CHRL or a similar HR professional designation is advantageous.
β’ Demonstrated ability to navigate complex employee and labor relations challenges.
β’ In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment legislation.
β’ Strong business acumen accompanied by strategic problem-solving skills.
β’ Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
β’ Expertise in cultural engagement with an emphasis on operational excellence.
β’ Capacity to identify and effectively resolve issues related to organizational, people, and change priorities.

β’ Strong organizational abilities and the capability to manage competing priorities.
β’ Prior experience with UKG (HRIS) is a plus.
β’ Willingness to travel independently up to 25% within assigned regions, including overnight travel within Canada.
β’ A valid driverβs license is required.
β’ Occasional travel to Indigo Home Office in Toronto, Ontario.
