HPC Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise solutions, products, and infrastructure for CIQ.

• Ensure the capacity and performance of systems are upheld.

• Troubleshoot issues and enhance applications and processes.

• Analyze existing code and industry trends to create engineering solutions.

• Lead and engage in discussions regarding architecture, planning, and implementation.

• Investigate the best technical strategies.

• Document projects to disseminate knowledge and ease user integration.

• Initiate proofs of concept and minimal viable products for presentations.

• Provide support for services prior to launch through system design consulting, software platform and framework development, capacity planning, and launch evaluations.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Sales, and open-source communities to develop relevant solutions while sharing expertise.

• Design and direct solutions for ambiguous requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient understanding of Linux and cloud infrastructure.

• Extensive experience with GoLang, Pulumi, Kubernetes, and additional engineering tools/technologies.

• Capability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic startup setting.

• Expertise in formulating solutions from high-level or incomplete requirements.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a desire to learn.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a remote team environment.

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• At least 10 years of experience in software development using Go, Python, Scala, etc.

• Proven proficiency in Linux and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

• Experience in high-performance or scientific computing is a plus.
