Housing Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Facilitate tailored temporary housing solutions for policyholders who have been displaced.

• Advocate for and uphold Sedgwick’s mission, strategic vision, and value proposition to adjusters and policyholders.

• Act as a primary contact for policyholders during their relocation process.

• Assess housing requirements, including lifestyle preferences, household composition, accessibility needs, pet considerations, and desired amenities.

• Perform market research utilizing listing platforms, vendor databases, and internal tools.

• Partner with housing vendors, landlords, and leasing agents to secure short-term rental arrangements.

• Negotiate lease agreements, optimize policy benefits, and adhere to Additional Living Expense parameters.

• Tailor housing solutions according to policy coverage, budget constraints, availability, quality standards, and insured expectations.

• Deliver exceptional service throughout policyholders’ stays, addressing issues and facilitating lease extensions, furniture modifications, and service requirements.

• Draft and review lease contracts and related documentation.

• Input and maintain precise data in housing databases, CRM tools, and internal systems.

• Keep track of local rental market trends, landlord regulations, and best practices in insurance housing.

• Manage multiple claims and assignments with professionalism and a sense of urgency.

• Serve as the contact point for VIP clients.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned and contribute to organizational quality initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in leasing, real estate, customer service, or account management is required.

• Previous experience in insurance, temporary housing, corporate lodging, or real estate is highly preferred.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• High emotional intelligence with the ability to adjust tone and approach to suit diverse client situations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access) and capable of learning new housing and CRM platforms.

• Advanced internet research skills to find viable rental properties in limited markets.

• Detail-oriented and organized with strong documentation practices.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

• Negotiation and relationship management skills with vendors, property managers, and landlords.

• Solutions-oriented approach focused on delivering timely, proactive service.

• Experience coordinating accommodations for high-net-worth clients or large-loss claims is advantageous.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
