Housing Coordinator

📋 Description

• Coordinate personalized temporary housing solutions for policyholders who have been displaced.

• Support Sedgwick’s mission, strategic vision, and value proposition to both adjusters and policyholders.

• Act as a primary point of contact for policyholders during their relocation process.

• Assess housing requirements, taking into account lifestyle, household composition, accessibility, pets, and desired amenities.

• Conduct market analysis utilizing listing platforms, vendor databases, and internal resources.

• Collaborate with housing vendors, landlords, and leasing agents to secure short-term rental agreements.

• Negotiate lease terms, optimize policy benefits, and adhere to Additional Living Expense guidelines.

• Tailor housing options according to policy coverage, budget constraints, availability, quality, and the expectations of the insured.

• Provide attentive service, address issues, and assist with lease extensions, furniture modifications, and other service requirements.

• Prepare and review lease agreements and associated documentation.

• Input and maintain precise data in housing databases, CRM tools, and internal systems.

• Keep track of local rental trends, landlord regulations, and best practices in insurance housing.

• Manage multiple claims and assignments with professionalism and urgency.

• Serve as a contact point for VIP clients.

• Support organizational quality initiatives and perform other designated tasks.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution is preferred.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in leasing, real estate, customer service, or account management.

• Previous experience in insurance, temporary housing, corporate lodging, or real estate is highly preferred.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• High emotional intelligence with the capability to adjust tone and approach to fit diverse client situations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access) and capable of learning new housing and CRM platforms.

• Advanced skills in internet research.

• Detail-oriented and organized with robust documentation practices.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with vendors, property managers, and landlords.

• Solutions-oriented mindset focused on timely and proactive service delivery.

• Credit security clearance confirmed through a background credit check is required.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
