Housing Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in promoting and supporting Sedgwick’s mission, strategic vision, and value proposition to both adjusters and policyholders.

• Act as a primary contact for policyholders throughout the relocation process.

• Assess housing requirements by collecting details related to lifestyle, household composition, accessibility, pets, and amenities.

• Engage in market research utilizing listing platforms, vendor databases, and internal tools.

• Collaborate with housing vendors, landlords, and leasing agents to secure short-term rental accommodations.

• Negotiate lease agreements, optimize policy benefits, and ensure compliance with Additional Living Expense guidelines.

• Tailor housing solutions based on policy coverage, budget constraints, availability, quality standards, and expectations of the insured.

• Offer continuous support during policyholders’ stays, addressing concerns and facilitating lease extensions, furniture modifications, and service requirements.

• Prepare and review lease agreements along with related documentation.

• Input and maintain accurate information in housing databases, CRM systems, and internal platforms.

• Keep updated on rental market trends, landlord regulations, and best practices in insurance housing.

• Manage multiple claims and assignments with professionalism and promptness.

• Serve as the point of contact for VIP clients.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

• Contribute to the organization’s quality initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution is preferred.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or account management.

• Prior experience in insurance, temporary housing, corporate lodging, or real estate is strongly preferred.

• Strong ability for clear and conceptual thinking.

• Excellent judgment, problem-solving, analytical skills, and discretion.

• Capacity to manage work-related stress effectively.

• Proficient in handling multiple priorities at once.

• Ability to meet established deadlines.

• Proficient in computer keyboarding.

• Willingness to travel as required.

• Credit security clearance, confirmed through a background credit check, is mandatory.
