This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Respond to incoming telephone, text, and chat inquiries for the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline.
• Perform assessments to identify the nature of the contacts.
• Deliver immediate psychosocial support, evidence-informed information, and brief interventions.
• Educate individuals seeking assistance about perinatal mental health resources and services.
• Refer individuals to suitable services and resources from approved directories.
• Keep complete, accurate, detailed, and timely real-time case documentation in Salesforce.
• Adhere to established documentation policies and procedures.
• Uphold professionalism in the virtual workspace and on communication platforms.
• Interact with the remote team through Slack and other assigned communication channels during shifts.
• Safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of each individual seeking help.
• Participate in scheduled meetings, training sessions, and developmental activities for the Hotline project.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Must be a Licensed Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Healthcare Professional with maternal and child health experience, or a National/State-Certified Doula, Lactation Consultant, Childbirth Educator, or Peer Specialist.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience working with the maternal and child health population.
• Professional liability insurance coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate.
• Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, internet browsers, and search directories.
• Capability to manage conflict and endure distress while assisting individuals seeking help.
• Ability to multitask and manage unpredictable and high-acuity contacts in a mental health setting.
• Competence to work independently and complete tasks within established guidelines, routines, and accepted practices.
• Flexibility to adapt to immediate changes in policies, procedures, processes, and guidelines.
• Must successfully complete a Non-Sensitive Tier II - Moderate Check and Clearance background check administered by HHS.
• Required to complete all necessary Postpartum Support International training.
• Must align with and commit to PSI’s vision and mission.
• Must maintain optimal high internet speeds.
• Must utilize a quiet and secure office space to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
• Must be able to safely perform essential job functions and meet productivity standards.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, speak, and hear; use a computer extensively; and possess sufficient hand dexterity and ability to read a computer screen.
