Hotel Collections & Rate Loading Specialist – Africa

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee collections and follow up on outstanding balances from hotel and travel partners.

• Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies in payments, and address aged receivables.

• Input and maintain hotel rates, promotions, blackout dates, and contract terms.

• Ensure the accuracy of rates across systems and troubleshoot any issues with rate loading or distribution.

• Collaborate with hotels, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies.

• Keep precise collection notes, payment records, account statuses, and documentation.

• Generate aging reports and escalate overdue or disputed balances that need action.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or financial operations.

• Background in the hotel, travel, hospitality, or online travel agency sector.

• Familiarity with loading hotel rates, contracts, promotions, or inventory into travel systems.

• Strong knowledge of hotel rates, room types, seasons, promotions, and related terminology.

• Experience in reconciling accounts and resolving billing, payment, and rate discrepancies.

• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English at the C-level.

• Availability to work full-time during EST hours.

• Preferred: Experience with hotel reservation, distribution, GDS, CRS, extranet, or channel management systems.
