Hospital Price Transparency Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Oversee the proprietary pricing transparency tool to ensure adherence to current regulations and coding standards.

• Conduct audits on price index outcomes post data parsing and collaborate with the development team to rectify data discrepancies.

• Generate client-friendly price index reports after validating data integrity.

• Assess and contribute to future product enhancements, establish acceptance criteria, and convert user requirements into logical designs that fulfill compliance standards.

• Evaluate development work for precision and alignment with product specifications.

• Address product inquiries from project management, implementation consultants, marketing, sales teams, and clients.

• Participate in virtual client meetings to review files and clarify questions regarding client datasets.

• Keep abreast of changing regulatory requirements and coding modifications, applying them to uphold product integrity.

• Provide support to other departments with industry expertise to enhance the client experience.

• Utilize, safeguard, and disclose PHI in compliance with HIPAA standards.

• Adhere to Information Security and HIPAA policies and protocols.

• Restrict PHI access to the minimum necessary for assigned responsibilities.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High-school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• At least 5 years of combined inpatient/outpatient coding and/or billing experience in a healthcare setting.

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of government regulations and resources affecting hospital price transparency regulations.

• Practical understanding of healthcare provider business processes such as clinical coding, chargemaster management, charge capture, billing, and/or charge reconciliation.

• Ability to consistently interpret and apply official regulatory guidelines to real-world situations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially strong Excel skills.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all organizational levels.

• Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities, demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making based on timely and accurate analyses.

• High integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-driven focus.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Must have a smartphone or electronic device capable of downloading applications for multifactor authentication and security purposes.

• Ability to follow instructions, collaborate with colleagues, and manage stress effectively.

• Active coding certification from AHIMA or AAPC is preferred.
