Hospital Billing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare and submit hospital claims to various third-party insurance carriers.

• Obtain necessary medical documentation required by third-party insurers.

• Follow up on outstanding claims.

• Process rejected claims and resubmit them as needed.

• Achieve production and quality assurance benchmarks.

• Maintain a high standard of customer service.

• Address inquiries from insurance companies.

• Review late charge reports and submit corrected claims.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in billing for Critical Access or Acute Care facilities, or physician billing.

• Required experience in Medicare billing.

• Proficient computer skills.

• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.

• Familiarity with medical terminology.

• Strong communication skills with various insurance payers.

• Experience in filing appeals for claims with insurance companies.
