This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Deliver in-home pet hospice, palliative care, support for quality of life, pain and symptom management, as well as compassionate euthanasia services.
• Travel independently to scheduled appointments within the designated service area.
• Conduct physical examinations, clinical assessments, medication administration, sedation, euthanasia, and other veterinary procedures.
• Educate and support pet families in making quality-of-life decisions, exploring end-of-life care options, euthanasia, and aftercare.
• Keep precise veterinary medical records and clinical documentation.
• Communicate effectively with pet families, veterinary medical personnel, scheduling, operations, support teams, and referring veterinary professionals.
• Safely handle, position, and assist with the movement of companion animals.
• Maintain clinical autonomy, sound medical judgment, reliability, and professionalism while working independently in the field.
• Exhibit Compassion, Dignity, and Respect in all interactions with patients, families, colleagues, and veterinary partners.
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), BVMS, or an equivalent veterinary medical degree from an accredited or qualifying veterinary program.
• Possess, or be eligible to obtain, an active veterinary license in the state(s) where services will be rendered.
• Hold a valid U.S. driver's license.
• Capability to travel safely between scheduled in-home veterinary appointments.
• Comfort in working independently as a mobile veterinarian.
• Ability to communicate with empathy and professionalism during pet hospice, quality-of-life, and end-of-life discussions.
• Availability for rotational weekend scheduling.
• Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and assist with weights up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to meet the physical and logistical demands of providing veterinary care in residential settings.
• Successful completion of relevant background and motor vehicle record checks following hire and prior to the scheduled start date.
