This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Deliver in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life assistance, pain and symptom management, as well as compassionate euthanasia services within the designated service area.
• Travel independently to scheduled appointments while practicing in a mobile veterinary care setting.
• Conduct physical examinations, clinical evaluations, medication administration, sedation, euthanasia, and other veterinary procedures in accordance with the position's scope and relevant regulations.
• Educate and support pet families through quality-of-life decisions, end-of-life care options, euthanasia, and aftercare procedures.
• Keep precise and timely veterinary medical records and clinical documentation.
• Communicate effectively with pet families, veterinary medical personnel, scheduling teams, support staff, and referring veterinary professionals.
• Safely manage, position, and assist with the movement of companion animals.
• Maintain clinical independence, sound medical judgment, professionalism, and dependability while working autonomously in the field.
• Exhibit compassion, dignity, and respect in all interactions with patients, families, colleagues, and veterinary partners.
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), BVMS, or an equivalent veterinary medical degree from an accredited or otherwise recognized veterinary program.
• Must hold, or be eligible to acquire, an active veterinary license in the state(s) where services will be rendered.
• Possess a valid U.S. driver's license and the capability to travel safely between scheduled in-home veterinary appointments.
• Comfortable working independently as a mobile veterinarian.
• Ability to communicate with empathy and professionalism during discussions about pet hospice, quality-of-life, and end-of-life matters.
• Availability for rotational weekend scheduling.
• Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and assist with weights up to 100 pounds, with reasonable accommodations as necessary.
• Ability to fulfill physical and logistical requirements in diverse residential settings.
• Successful completion of applicable background checks and motor vehicle record checks post-hire and prior to the scheduled start date.
