Hospice Veterinarian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Deliver compassionate hospice and in-home euthanasia services for pets in their own homes.

• Operate independently while traveling throughout Baltimore, Annapolis, Glen Burnie, Severna Park, Maryland, and the surrounding metropolitan region.

• Conduct several appointments each day at a relaxed pace.

• Attend to families and address challenging end-of-life questions with empathy.

• Assist families in saying farewell with dignity and tranquility.

• Articulate care and honor the unique stories of each pet.

• Collaborate with and receive guidance from the Heartstrings team, mentors, and seasoned colleagues.

• Select and manage a work schedule of 2 to 5 days each week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) required.

• Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License.

• Choose 4 weekend days each month that best suit your lifestyle.

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with help.

• License verification is necessary prior to the start date.

• A background check will be conducted before the start date.

• Review of driving record is required before the start date.
