This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Deliver in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, pain and symptom management, and compassionate euthanasia services.
• Travel independently to scheduled appointments within the designated service area.
• Conduct physical examinations, clinical assessments, administer medications, provide sedation, perform euthanasia, and deliver other veterinary services.
• Educate and assist pet families in making quality-of-life choices, exploring end-of-life care options, euthanasia, and aftercare solutions.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of veterinary medical records and clinical documentation.
• Engage in communication with pet families, veterinary medical teams, scheduling, operations, support, and referring veterinary professionals.
• Safely handle, position, and assist with the movement of companion animals.
• Work autonomously with clinical independence, sound medical judgment, and reliability.
• Exhibit Compassion, Dignity, and Respect in all interactions with patients, families, colleagues, and veterinary partners.
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), BVMS, or an equivalent veterinary medical degree from an accredited or qualifying veterinary program.
• Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, an active veterinary license in the state(s) where services will be provided.
• Possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
• Ability to travel safely between scheduled in-home veterinary appointments.
• Comfortable working independently as a mobile veterinarian.
• Capable of communicating with empathy and professionalism during pet hospice, quality-of-life, and end-of-life discussions.
• Availability to participate in rotational weekend scheduling.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and assist with weights up to 100 pounds, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.
• Capable of performing physical and logistical tasks in various residential settings.
• Successful completion of relevant background and motor vehicle record checks after hiring and prior to the scheduled start date.
