This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Conduct telephone triage for hospice patients and their families.

• Evaluate patient conditions and decide on appropriate follow-up actions.

• Collaborate with on-call teams to ensure coordinated care and resource allocation.

• Thoroughly document all communications and interventions.

• Maintain a composed and professional attitude while managing urgent calls.

• Provide essential after-hours support and facilitate timely interventions for hospice patients receiving care.


⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active multistate Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Experience in hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care is highly preferred.

• Must be proficient with technology and electronic medical records (EMR) for call documentation.

• Ability to efficiently type documentation and notes in a fast-paced setting.

• Must manage stress effectively and multitask while receiving calls (minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays, and up to 8 per hour on weekends).

• Strong communication and critical thinking abilities are essential.

• Capability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Consistent attendance, proactive communication, and reliable internet connection during all scheduled shifts are required.

• Overnight schedule: 10:30 p.m.–5:00 a.m. CST, rotating every 3 weeks.

• Full-time nurses may access medical, dental, vision, and/or supplemental insurance options.
