Hospice Triage RN, Part-time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Conduct telephone triage for hospice patients and their families.

• Evaluate patient conditions and identify suitable next steps.

• Work in collaboration with on-call teams to facilitate care and resources.

• Ensure accurate documentation of communications and actions taken.

• Maintain a composed and professional attitude during urgent calls.

• Deliver essential after-hours support and coordinate timely hospice care responses.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid multistate Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Experience in hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care is highly preferred.

• Proficient with technology and electronic medical records (EMR).

• Ability to efficiently type documentation and notes in a fast-paced setting.

• Capable of managing stress and multitasking while receiving calls.

• Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities.

• Must be able to work autonomously in a remote setting.

• Dependable attendance, effective communication, and reliable internet access during scheduled shifts.

• Availability for part-time shifts from 3:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. CST, including rotating Saturdays and Sundays.
