Hospice Triage RN, Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Provide telephone triage support for hospice patients and their families.

• Evaluate patient conditions and identify suitable next steps.

• Collaborate with on-call teams to ensure coordinated care and access to resources.

• Accurately document all communications and interventions.

• Maintain a composed and professional demeanor while managing urgent calls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active multistate Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Experience in hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care is highly preferred.

• Proficiency with technology and electronic medical records (EMR).

• Capability to quickly type documentation and notes in a fast-paced setting.

• Ability to manage stress and multitask while handling calls: a minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays and up to 8 per hour on weekends.

• Strong communication skills and critical thinking abilities.

• Capability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Consistent attendance, active communication, and reliable internet access during scheduled shifts.
