Hospice Triage RN – FT Baylor Shift, Sat, Sun, Monday

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver after-hours nurse triage services for hospice and home health providers.

• Provide continuous access to licensed registered nurses utilizing client-specific protocols.

• Offer patient-focused, compassionate care during clients’ non-core hours.

• Assist clients’ nursing staff and act as an extension of their care teams.

• Utilize EMRs for documentation and employ internal applications during job responsibilities.

• Engage in a minimum of 30 minutes of paid shift preparation prior to taking calls.

• Complete remaining charting for 30 minutes to 2 hours after shifts before clocking out.

• Follow the Baylor schedule: Saturday and Sunday from 4:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and Monday from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.

• Fulfill six days per 14-day pay period as a full-time Baylor nurse.

• Undergo three weeks of remote paid training.

⛳️ Requirements

• MUST possess or be willing to obtain a Compact RN license.

• Must remain in good standing and ensure that the home state license remains active.

• Experience in hospice, palliative, and end-of-life care is strongly preferred.

• Background in a fast-paced environment such as the emergency department, surgical services, or critical care is desired.

• Comfortable utilizing multiple technology applications for documentation during calls.

• Ability to type efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

• Must physically reside in the U.S. and be legally authorized to work for any employer.

• Required to complete three weeks of remote paid training conducted during the day and evening.

• Must be available to work on certain holidays as needed.

• Ability to manage stress and multitask while answering calls, including a minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays and up to 8 per hour on weekends.

• Must communicate with empathy towards patients while complying with protocols.

• Required to maintain CEUs as mandated by the states in which calls are answered.

• Must participate in in-services and additional training as necessary.

• Must pass a background check and nurse licensing verification.

• Must have high-speed internet access.

• Must have a quiet, private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.

• Must be tech-savvy and possess proficient keyboard skills.
