Home Visits Buyer – Jewellery & Antiques

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct multiple home-visit appointments each day over the course of 3 to 4 days weekly.

• Offer expert valuations and purchase proposals for clients’ antiques, jewelry, and collectibles.

• Rapidly evaluate items brought forward for purchase.

• Maintain a professional, informative, and respectful demeanor with customers.

• Negotiate purchase offers as needed.

• Clarify reasons why certain items may not meet purchase criteria.

• Occasionally participate as an expert and buyer at regular buying roadshow events.

• Travel daily to clients’ residences throughout Wales.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in buying and/or selling antiques, collectibles, gold, and jewelry.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• Established history of fostering customer relationships.

• Strong negotiation skills coupled with solid commercial insight.

• Genuine interest in gold, jewelry, silver, cameras, binoculars, toys, costume jewelry, writing instruments, militaria, music or film memorabilia, or similar vintage specialties.

• Experience as a dealer or valuer in an auction context, particularly in buying and/or selling antiques, collectibles, and jewelry.

• A commercially astute salesperson and negotiator.

• Personable, likable, and trustworthy character.

• Willingness to travel longer distances, typically within a 2-hour drive.

• Openness to staying away from home when required by location.

• Valid UK driving license and personal vehicle.

• Availability to work 3 or 4 days per week from Monday to Saturday.
