Home Modification Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Develop, assess, and authorize requests for home modifications.

• Oversee all facets of the home modification procedure while ensuring compliance with waiver and contract stipulations.

• Prepare job specifications for modifications to homes and vehicles, which include drawings and material lists.

• Generate job specifications and secure estimates for home modification initiatives.

• Evaluate and sanction requests for modifications.

• Confirm that modification requests conform to waiver and contract specifications.

• Supervise the complete home modification process from initiation to finalization.

• Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, members, and care management personnel regarding necessary requirements.

• Keep members and providers updated about the home modification process and upcoming projects.

• Oversee and maintain pending requests and ongoing modification projects to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside in Ohio and belong to one of the following counties: Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina, Summit, Henry, Wood, Lucas, Sandusky.

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting, Engineering, Health Administration, Construction, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in residential architecture or construction, including accessible design and construction.

• Preferred knowledge of OAC regulations and waiver requirements for ICDS demonstration.

• Familiarity with ADA standards, particularly concerning ramps and grab bars.

• Proficient in reading, interpreting, and evaluating blueprint drawings.
