Home Infusion Nurse

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Administer, oversee, and terminate intravenous therapies in patients' homes or infusion suite environments.

• Insert and manage IV access, including peripheral lines, PICC lines, ports, and midlines.

• Continuously monitor patients during infusion therapy and address any adverse reactions or changes in their condition.

• Perform venipuncture and gather blood samples as prescribed.

• Conduct patient assessments, record vital signs, and review systems during each visit.

• Educate patients and caregivers about infusion therapy, line care, and symptom monitoring.

• Coordinate visit schedules, staffing requirements, and communication with internal teams and external partners.

• Document patient-related care, medications given, and patient responses.

• Communicate clinical concerns or reportable events to physicians and internal clinical leadership.

• Maintain confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards in line with state and federal regulations.

• Ensure safe support for patients receiving infusion therapies at home or in infusion suites.

• Provide continuity of care beyond conventional clinical settings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Nursing degree from an accredited institution.

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.

• Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience.

• IV certification along with experience in central line care and management.

• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel within the service area.

• CPR certification.

• Experience in clinical documentation and care coordination.

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and clinical systems.

• Willingness to travel to patient homes and healthcare facilities.

• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in home-based settings.

• Clear and compassionate communication with patients and caregivers.

• Comfort in managing IV therapy outside of acute care environments.

• Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and attention to detail.

• Patient-centered mindset grounded in empathy and professionalism.

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.

• Capability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• Required vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to adjust focus.

• Compliance with LUX Infusion’s legal, ethical, and compliance policies.

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.

• RN licensure in additional states is preferred.

• Prior experience in home infusion, home care, critical care, emergency nursing, ambulatory infusion centers, or discharge planning is preferred.

• Experience with PICC, port, or midline access and certification is preferred.
