Home Infusion Field Nurse

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional, patient-focused care to individuals undergoing intrathecal pain or spasticity management therapy in home or clinical settings.

• Manage a personal schedule while traveling within a radius of up to 180 miles.

• Administer and oversee intrathecal pump therapy for patients dealing with chronic pain or spasticity.

• Conduct pump refills, reprogramming, and troubleshooting in collaboration with prescribing healthcare providers.

• Educate patients and their caregivers on medication protocols, pump operation, and signs of adverse reactions or infections.

• Partner with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to guarantee continuity and excellence in care.

• Accurately and promptly document care activities, assessments, and communications in electronic medical records.

• Commit to a full-time, permanent position working Monday through Friday.

⛳️ Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid, unrestricted license in the state of practice.

• Additional licensure or compact status is preferred.

• At least 2 years of nursing experience, including a minimum of 1 year in home infusion or pain management.

• Experience in home health is preferred.

• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification is preferred.

• Current TB Skin test or QuantiFERON blood test conducted within the last 12 months.

• Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

• Ability to work independently in a home environment and manage a flexible mobile work schedule.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Capability to perform one-person CPR continuously in line with American Heart/Red Cross standards.

• Willingness to travel by car, train, or plane and frequently stand, sit, walk, see, hear, and use hands and fingers.

• Ability to regularly lift, move, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 5 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.

• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
