Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Implement the physical therapy treatment plan for patients in their homes as outlined by the Physical Therapist.

• Provide non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction, heat, light, cold, water, and electrical modalities.

• Maintain accurate client records and ensure timely submission of clinical documentation to the office on a weekly basis.

• Participate in educational meetings and organize departmental in-service training sessions.

• Inform the Physical Therapist or Branch Director regarding equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or any changes involving staff or clients.

• Employ infection control principles and universal precautions during patient care procedures.

• Assist patients in regaining strength, mobility, and independence through tailored home health care services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid state license to practice Physical Therapy.

• Current driver's license.

• Auto insurance coverage.

• Dependable transportation.

• Up-to-date CPR certification.

• Experience working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.

• In-depth understanding of the physical, emotional, social, and biological changes in the geriatric population.

• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

• One year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant is preferred.

• Required TB screening if selected for the position.

• Maintain personal vehicle liability insurance that meets state minimum limits or specified Humana limits, whichever is greater.
