Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Clinical Manager

• Assist patients in regaining their strength, mobility, and independence within their homes

• Implement the physical therapy treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist

• Conduct both active and passive manual therapeutic exercises

• Provide various therapeutic modalities including massage, traction, heat, light, cold, water, and electrical treatments

• Maintain client records and submit clinical documentation to the office on a weekly basis

• Participate in educational meetings and organize department in-services

• Alert the Physical Therapist or Branch Director regarding equipment malfunctions, supply deficiencies, or changes in staff/client situations

• Employ infection control practices and universal precautions during patient care

⛳️ Requirements

• Active state license to practice Physical Therapy

• Current driver's license

• Auto insurance coverage

• Dependable transportation

• Up-to-date CPR certification

• Experience working collaboratively with a healthcare team

• In-depth understanding of the physical, emotional, social, and biological changes affecting the geriatric population

• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking fluent English

• Preferred: One year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant

• Required: Completion of TB screening if selected

• Must hold personal vehicle liability insurance
