Home Health Aide – Private Duty

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Aid patients in daily living activities, which include bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, and providing mobility assistance.

• Deliver personal care and companionship within private homes or hotel recovery suites.

• Assist with post-operative recovery and long-term care tasks under the guidance of a supervising nurse.

• Offer non-medical reminders for medication as needed.

• Measure and record vital signs when assigned by a licensed nurse.

• Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the supervising RN or LVN.

• Help with comfort measures, patient positioning, and safe transfer procedures.

• Document care in accordance with the policies of Vitale Nursing, Inc.

• Operate under the supervision of an RN or LVN in both patient homes and post-operative recovery environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a valid CNA Certification in California.

• Holding a valid Home Health Aide certification (HHA) issued by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).

• Current BLS/CPR Certification is required.

• Access to reliable transportation.

• A professional, punctual, and trustworthy demeanor is essential.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are necessary.

• Three professional references must be provided.

• Proof of Malpractice Insurance is required.

• Successful completion of a background check is mandatory.

• Two forms of identification (Driver’s License/Passport and Social Security card) are needed.

• A physical examination and TB test must be completed within the last year.

• Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination and booster, or a plan to obtain them is necessary.

• Previous experience in private duty home care is preferred.

• Familiarity with post-operative recovery processes is preferred.

• Experience in supporting hospice and palliative care patients is advantageous.

• Prior CNA/HHA experience in home health or skilled nursing is preferred.
