Home Care Aide – Private Duty

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist patients with their daily living activities, which include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and providing mobility support.

• Offer personal care and companionship in private homes or hotel recovery suites.

• Aid in light meal preparation, assist with feeding, and provide hydration reminders.

• Deliver non-medical medication reminders; medication administration is not part of the role.

• Carry out household tasks associated with patient care, such as tidying up the patient's area and doing laundry.

• Ensure safety supervision, fall prevention, and mobility assistance.

• Report any patient observations and changes in condition to the supervising RN, LVN, or CNA.

• Document daily care in compliance with Vitale Nursing, Inc. policy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a valid Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS).

• Current CPR/BLS Certification is required.

• Must have reliable transportation.

• Exhibit a professional, punctual, and trustworthy demeanor.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Provide three professional references.

• Successful completion of a background check and fingerprint clearance is mandatory.

• Active HCA registration in California is required.

• Present two forms of identification (Driver’s License/Passport and Social Security card).

• A physical exam and TB test within the last year are necessary.

• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster (or a plan to obtain them) is required.

• Preferred: previous caregiving experience in home care, hospice, or assisted living settings.

• Preferred: experience with post-operative recovery support.

• Preferred: familiarity with dementia/Alzheimer’s care and strategies for fall prevention.
