This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, construct, test, and deploy HL7 interfaces that connect Cadwell modalities with customer EMR/EHR systems.
• Act as the primary technical contact for HL7 integration initiatives, collaborating with both customers and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct discovery sessions and document interface requirements, message specifications, data mapping, and implementation deliverables.
• Create interface design documents, test plans, validation reports, go-live checklists, and other essential project documentation.
• Execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, ensuring interfaces are validated prior to go-live.
• Provide post-go-live support, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions for interface issues.
• Carry out integration plans within the Technical Project Management Team.
• Configure and modify HL7 message structures, including ORM and ORU.
• Manage interface-related escalations and coordinate with internal resources.
• Monitor interfaces and resolve any message failures or transmission errors during the go-live process.
• Escalate any unresolved integration issues to the direct manager.
• Assist with HL7 and interoperability requirements for new products and enhancements.
• Install and configure test servers and clients within customer environments as necessary.
• Assess performance using team KPIs and suggest improvements to procedures and interface build standards.
• Participate in both internal and customer-facing meetings.
• Stay updated on HL7 standards and interoperability frameworks.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in HL7 interface development and implementation is required.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Allscripts, or similar systems is essential.
• A comprehensive understanding of HL7 message structures, segments, data types, and encoding rules is necessary.
• Familiarity with interface engine platforms like Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, Ensemble/HealthShare, or similar is required.
• Capability to manage multiple interface projects and meet established timelines.
• Outstanding listening and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical clinical and administrative audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focusing on data integrity, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Self-discipline and the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
• Experience in healthcare technology, medical devices, or clinical informatics is preferred.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• HL7 certification is preferred.
• Experience with Cadwell software or neurodiagnostic/sleep systems is an advantage.
