Hindi VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or altering content.

• Deliver the highest level of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and thorough interpretation of messages.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for pursuing new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and provide reports to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language, 'Hindi.'

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in over-the-phone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, though not mandatory.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial, but not essential.

• An understanding of legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare field (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.) are considered a plus.

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
