Hindi Localization Proofreader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Localize all marketing and product content, ensuring precision, charm, and adherence to Duolingo’s style guide and specifications.

• Participate in meetings and collaborate with team members to discuss translations and achieve consistency in style, tone, and vocabulary.

• Assist in the creation of internal style guides for Hindi.

• Ensure that original content is clear, engaging, and compelling for Hindi-speaking audiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native proficiency in Hindi and complete professional fluency in English.

• Over 3 years of experience in translating, transcreation, proofreading, and/or copywriting targeted at a Hindi audience.

• Experience in localizing online, mobile, and/or gaming products.

• A portfolio showcasing previous work that demonstrates expertise.

• A strong passion for Duolingo and its mission.

• Availability to work 15–30 hours per week, with varying workloads each week.
