HIM Data Integrity Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the System Data Integrity Manager, receiving daily guidance from the Data Integrity Team Lead.

• Ensure the integrity of the Legal Health Record and Master Patient Index.

• Analyze intricate error-correction scenarios, including the resolution of duplicate records and overlays.

• Accurately and promptly complete daily work queues, time-sensitive error queues, and sensitive patient error corrections.

• Utilize various patient identification systems and other Intermountain tools.

• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Patient Access, Technical teams, and external partners to identify and resolve errors.

• Maintain precise statistics while meeting established quality and productivity benchmarks.

• Adhere to laws and regulations pertaining to Protected Health Information.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Proven ability to analyze complex information and situations, applying suitable critical thinking solutions.

• Expertise in advanced functionalities of various patient identification systems and other tools utilized by Intermountain.

• Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws and regulations concerning Protected Health Information.

• Proficient in analytical tasks, Epic EHR, Microsoft Suite, identity management, Health Information Management, and technical aspects of Epic EHR identity.

• Preferred: Completion of a two-year Associate or a four-year Bachelor’s Degree.

• Preferred: Possession of RHIA or RHIT credentials, or current enrollment in a CAHIIM-accredited program.

• Preferred: Experience with the Epic Electronic Health Record system.

• Active participation in professional Health Information and Information Technology organizations and ongoing education initiatives.

• Ability to quickly and accurately communicate and comprehend spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues.

• Manual dexterity to handle complex and delicate equipment with precision.

• Capability to frequently perform computer, phone, and cable setup and usage.
