HIM Cert Coder, Interventional Radiology, CPT, ICD-10

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Execute vital job functions as a certified coder.

• Function as a specialist coder within a specified coding service line.

• Conduct peer audits and regular peer reviews in accordance with established standards.

• Mentor and educate new and current coding personnel.

• Support management objectives and assist with leadership activities during the coordinator/supervisor's absence.

• Collaborate with supervisors, managers, staff, enterprise teams, and external organizations on meetings and initiatives.

• Provide assistance to employees regarding work-related issues.

• Perform routine staff rounding and compile reports for meetings.

• Aid in the preparation and compliance of the annual budget.

• Analyze and interpret financial data to track performance and set departmental benchmarks.

• Serve as a resource and mentor to colleagues.

• Develop, update, and sustain departmental policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Interventional Radiology.

• Knowledge of CPT coding.

• Proficiency in ICD-10 coding.

• Relevant coding work experience.

• Must secure one of the following certifications within 2 years: Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-Based (CCS-P) from AHIMA; Certified Professional Coder - Hospital (CPCH) from AAPC; Certified Professional Coder (CPC) from AAPC; Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) from AHIMA; Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) from AHIMA; Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) from AHIMA.
