HIM Call Center Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Act as the representative and voice for ProMedica’s HIM department and myChart assistance.

• Create a welcoming first impression for patients.

• Explain the procedure for obtaining medical records.

• Assist myChart users with inquiries regarding the application.

• Maintain records of all requests received.

• Process and record payments for the release of information on patient accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or its equivalent.

• Two years of experience in health information management, a physician's office, clinical or hospital business office, or relevant college education.

• Must reside in a qualifying U.S. state; employment is not available to residents of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington, or U.S. territories.

• Associate degree in Health Information Management or a related field (preferred).

• Current enrollment in a CAHIIM-approved program (preferred).

• Prior experience with Epic and/or EMR systems (preferred).

• RHIT certification (preferred).
