HIM Call Center Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Act as the representative and spokesperson for ProMedica’s Health Information Management (HIM) department and myChart support.

• Create a welcoming and positive first impression for patients.

• Explain the procedure for acquiring medical records.

• Assist myChart users with inquiries related to the application.

• Maintain a log of all requests received.

• Accept and record payments associated with the release of information for patient accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or its equivalent.

• Two years of experience in health information management, a physician's office, clinical or hospital business office, or relevant college education.

• An associate degree in Health Information Management or a related field is preferred.

• Current enrollment in a CAHIIM-accredited program is preferred.

• Prior experience with Epic and/or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred.

• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification is preferred.
