High School Math Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide specific high school math course content in an online setting.

• Deliver both synchronous and asynchronous instruction, support, and guidance.

• Oversee the learning process and tailor education to meet individual student needs.

• Track student progress utilizing Stride K12’s learning management system.

• Collaborate closely with students and their parents/learning coaches to promote learning towards set goals.

• Tailor instruction based on students' mastery levels.

• Enhance course material using sanctioned asynchronous and synchronous resources.

• Maintain the grade book and uphold student academic integrity.

• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion.

• Notify administrators of any concerns regarding student performance and progress.

• Prepare students for important standardized assessments.

• Build and sustain a positive relationship with families.

• Communicate with and respond promptly to students and learning coaches/parents.

• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues.

• Travel as necessary, averaging once a month or roughly 20% of the time, for professional development, student assessments, and school events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Math (7-12) certification and license required.

• Residency in Texas is necessary.

• Bachelor's degree is required.

• Active state teaching license is mandatory.

• Must have the ability to pass a required background check.

• Must be capable of working independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.

• Must maintain a professional home office free from distractions during work hours.

• Ability to interpret and produce numerical, tabular, and graphic representations of student data is essential.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint is required.

• Must be able to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.

• Must maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and remain fluent in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
