This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.
β’ Deliver specialized High School Medical Coding Electives course material in an online setting
β’ Provide instruction, assistance, and direction while overseeing the learning process
β’ Tailor learning experiences and differentiate instruction according to student proficiency
β’ Offer both synchronous and asynchronous educational experiences
β’ Enhance course content utilizing approved synchronous and asynchronous tools
β’ Track student progress via Stride K12βs learning management system
β’ Maintain the grade book and uphold student academic integrity
β’ Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion, and notify administrators of performance issues
β’ Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments
β’ Establish a positive relationship with families and communicate effectively with students and parents/learning coaches
β’ Assist parents/learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting
β’ Collaborate with educators to analyze student data to inform instructional decisions
β’ Travel as necessary, averaging once per month and/or approximately 20% of the time
β’ Bachelor's degree
β’ Active state teaching license
β’ Current Middle School Electives certification
β’ Must be a resident of Oklahoma
β’ Ability to pass the required background check
β’ Capability to work independently, generally 40+ hours per week
β’ Ability to maintain a professional home office free from distractions from 8aβ5p
β’ Skill in collaborating with teachers to interpret and create numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data for instructional purposes
β’ Open to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers
β’ Willingness to embrace change and adapt to guarantee excellent student outcomes
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
β’ Capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and educational platforms
β’ Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curricula
β’ Experience working with the specified age group
β’ Experience assisting adults and children in utilizing technology
β’ Experience in online/virtual teaching and/or traditional brick-and-mortar environments
β’ Familiarity with online learning platforms
β’ Occasional travel for in-person professional development, student assessments, and school events
