Healthcare Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Offer strategic direction for the compliant, safe, and efficient management and processing of contracted waste streams.

• Assess operational efficiency and financial objectives utilizing cost-tracking tools and invoice evaluations.

• Discover and implement cost-saving opportunities while meeting contractual commitments.

• Counsel hospital personnel on the safe and compliant management of contracted waste streams.

• Act as the main point of contact for contracted waste streams.

• Provide expert advice on EPA, DOT, DEA, and state or local waste regulations.

• Conduct customer surveys to pinpoint compliance deficiencies and waste segregation possibilities using the Virtual Compliance Partner application.

• Manage projects for the execution of compliance-based services, including scheduling, coordination, and communication.

• Create and present tailored training for contract implementation and maintenance.

• Organize and carry out customer-facing activities aimed at enhancing service satisfaction, building relationships, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving profitability.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the healthcare sector, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Strong working knowledge of medical waste issues and the healthcare industry.

• Consultative skills to effectively engage with customers.

• Comfortable with public speaking responsibilities.

• Bachelor's Degree with experience in a healthcare-related field preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA-RCRA, U.S. DOT, and/or The Joint Commission Standards preferred.

• Willingness to travel to local customer locations.

• Must possess, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative for air travel or access to federal properties.
