Healthcare Data Analytics Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain Power BI datasets, semantic models, and reports for various client projects.

• Create and enhance data models and DAX calculations for scalable, high-performance analytics and dashboards.

• Prepare, transform, and shape data utilizing SQL, Power BI Power Query, and Azure-based data sources.

• Coordinate and assist with Power BI dataset refreshes; troubleshoot failures and address performance or data issues.

• Conduct data quality assurance to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness.

• Analyze client data and establish mapping logic and documentation for analytics-ready SQL tables and Power BI datasets.

• Convert reporting and business requirements into clear Power BI dashboards in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Provide support for Azure SQL databases, Azure Data Factory pipelines, and SFTP integrations.

• Facilitate secure client data ingestion, file transfers, and connectivity troubleshooting.

• Manage healthcare data containing PHI while adhering to security, privacy, and governance standards.

• Work alongside internal team members and consultants to troubleshoot issues, prioritize requests, and support multiple client engagements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or equivalent relevant experience.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Power BI.

• Expert-level understanding of Semantic Models, Parameters, Pipeline deployments, Incremental refresh policies, Measures, Workspace configuration, and credentials.

• Strong background in SQL and relational databases for analytics and reporting purposes.

• Experience in designing and supporting analytics-ready data models; star schema and dimensional modeling preferred.

• Familiarity with Azure-based data environments, including Azure SQL and Data Factory.

• Experience with flat files, JSON, and healthcare transaction files; 837/835 experience preferred.

• Exceptional attention to detail, data quality, and documentation standards.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-client setting.

• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
