Healthcare Credentialing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Conduct manual verification of physician licenses utilizing official state medical board and government regulatory websites.

• Access national license index databases and pertinent authority databases to cross-check physician information.

• Ensure that licenses are active, valid, unrestricted, and suitable for the practice state.

• Confirm physicians' authority to prescribe medications in the states they practice.

• Examine onboarding information and pinpoint discrepancies, restrictions, disciplinary actions, expirations, or missing details.

• Record verification outcomes in the company's digital prescribing platform.

• Provide feedback regarding verification to physicians and internal teams within one hour during designated business hours.

• Refer questionable, incomplete, or potentially invalid credentials to the compliance team.

• Maintain precise records and audit trails of verification activities.

• Safeguard physician and organizational information in compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.

• Operate independently and communicate effectively in an asynchronous remote work environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in medical credentialing, provider enrollment, physician licensing, healthcare compliance, or a similar healthcare administrative position.

• Experience in researching and verifying information through state medical boards, government websites, or regulatory databases.

• Knowledge of physician license status, expiration dates, restrictions, disciplinary actions, and prescribing eligibility.

• Strong comprehension of HIPAA, patient confidentiality, and secure management of sensitive information.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to identify inconsistencies across various sources.

• Proficient written English communication skills.

• Ability to achieve a one-hour turnaround time during working hours.

• Must have a reliable computer, stable internet connection, and access to U.S. government and state regulatory websites.

• Comfortable utilizing VPN or other approved secure-access tools when necessary.

• Capable of working independently with minimal oversight while maintaining high levels of productivity and accuracy.

• Must communicate and write in English clearly and professionally.

• Relevant work experience is mandatory.

• Must be able to provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance prior to onboarding (mandatory).

• Available for video meetings with the camera on when required.

• Reliable laptop or desktop computer is essential.

• Stable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps) is required.

• Noise-canceling headset is necessary.

• A working webcam for virtual meetings is required.
