This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Oversee accounts receivable and pursue outstanding insurance claims.
• Monitor EOBs, claim statuses, payments, denials, and unresolved balances.
• Precisely enter, review, and update claim details in SimplePractice.
• Coordinate follow-ups with Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and the Veterans Community Care Network.
• Identify claims that are delayed, denied, underpaid, or unresolved, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Keep documentation of claim follow-ups, payer responses, and the necessary next steps.
• Communicate with the external billing team regarding claim submissions, payment delays, and billing inquiries.
• Resolve claim issues and perform the appropriate follow-up actions.
• Oversee delayed claim submissions and unresolved billing issues.
• Offer proactive status updates to clients and relevant team members.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in U.S. healthcare billing, accounts receivable, and insurance claim follow-up.
• Required hands-on experience with SimplePractice.
• Strong understanding of EOBs, claim statuses, denials, payments, and payer follow-up procedures.
• Experience in communicating with major commercial insurance companies.
• Exceptional attention to detail when entering claim data and tracking payment statuses.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Consistent attendance, dependable follow-through, and capacity to meet deadlines.
• Proactive in offering updates and escalating issues related to delayed, denied, or unresolved claims.
• Capability to work independently and handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and secure management of protected health information.
• Comfort in managing a high-priority accounts receivable backlog that impacts practice cash flow.
• Availability during agreed Central Time working hours and for billing team coordination periods.
• Must communicate in English clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Relevant work experience is mandatory.
• Provision of an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance prior to onboarding is required.
• Attendance at video meetings with camera on when necessary.
• A reliable laptop or desktop computer is essential.
• A stable high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps is necessary.
• A noise-canceling headset is required.
• A working webcam for virtual meetings is mandatory.
• A quiet and professional workspace is essential.
• Experience in medical scribing is a plus but not compulsory.
