Healthcare Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze healthcare utilization to detect patterns, variations, and outliers.

• Identify and assess opportunities for reducing medical costs within the markets.

• Evaluate the success of initiatives aimed at reducing medical costs.

• Develop tools for effectively comparing market performance both across and within products.

• Provide analysis and recommendations to enhance network provider performance.

• Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical programs, interventions, and processes.

• Support the intake, prioritization, and coordinated execution of ad-hoc analytics requests from various departments within the organization.

• Identify variables and methodologies that define population cohorts that can be positively influenced through targeted programs and interventions.

• Segment population data using longitudinal trend analyses and advanced cluster analyses.

• Conduct root cause analyses of negative population health outcomes based on demographic, socioeconomic, and clinical factors.

• Perform any other job duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare analytics is required.

• Experience in managed care is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with healthcare data, including medical and pharmacy claims, EMR data, HIE data, UM data, and demographic data.

• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and other government-sponsored healthcare programs is preferred.

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Proficiency with Transact-SQL, SAS, Microsoft Power BI, or Tableau.

• Ability to organize data in a manner that aids in drawing inferences, conclusions, and decisions.

• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
