Health & Safety Principal Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Provide fee-earning services at the highest standard.

• Deliver top-notch compliance services to SOCOTEC clients.

• Ensure that client work adheres to SOCOTEC group policies and procedures.

• Specialize in a minimum of two consultancy areas, ideally three: Health & Safety, Fire, Legionella, and/or Training.

• Contribute to technical and legal updates that impact services and client support.

• Submit documents to the office promptly.

• Maintain professional memberships and individual Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

• Assist junior team members and others in achieving consultancy standards.

• Attain and uphold qualification levels set by SOCOTEC.

• Engage in SOCOTEC peer reviews.

• Participate in relevant subject-specific Technical Committees and support Technical Groups.

• Lead and take charge of Technical Groups when appropriate.

• Undertake additional reasonable responsibilities as required by the company.

⛳️ Requirements

• NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent qualification is the minimum requirement.

• Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) or an equivalent status.

• Registration on the OSHCR consultants register if requested by the Operational Manager.

• Expertise in at least two, preferably three, consultancy areas: Health & Safety, Fire, Legionella, and/or Training.

• Maintain professional qualifications, memberships, and CPD.

• Capability to work independently while also supporting and mentoring colleagues.

• Ability to provide services in alignment with SOCOTEC policies, procedures, and professional standards.

• Stay updated with relevant technical and legal advancements.

• Provide technical leadership within areas of expertise.
