Health IT Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Delivers Power BI-centric development support to the HHS/NIH Department of Informatics.

• Offers informatics expertise to organizational leaders on best practices in information management, workflows, requirements gathering, and analytics.

• Aids in the data flow within Healthcare Analytics utilizing computers and networks.

• Creates SQL database queries, SSRS reports, Tableau Reports/Views and Dashboards, along with automated emails.

• Oversees Tableau Server user management, including groups, schedules, data sources, and data extracts.

• Converts or transitions Tableau dashboards and reports into Power BI format.

• Translates business and reporting specifications into Power BI reports, dashboards, data models, and corresponding SQL logic.

• Reconciles and verifies Power BI reports against Tableau reports and original data sources.

• Diagnoses, tests, validates, and resolves issues related to data, SQL, report logic, calculations, and visualizations.

• Manages assigned tasks to ensure completion within set deadlines.

• Develops, modifies, and troubleshoots intricate queries.

• Analyzes complex data sources, joins, transformations, and business logic while resolving data discrepancies.

• Maintains documentation for systems and knowledge management.

• Collaborates with stakeholders to gather business requirements, conduct design validation, and perform user acceptance testing.

• Resolves incidents related to supported solutions.

• Interprets and assists users in utilizing generated data effectively.

• Guarantees that information remains consistent, timely, and accurate.

• Supervises quality assurance initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain the necessary customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment, and property.

• Experience in working with healthcare or clinical data.

• Proven experience in developing and supporting enterprise-level BI and reporting environments.

• Familiarity with Tableau calculations, data models, and dashboard functionalities.

• Proficient in Power BI Service, including workspaces, gateways, data refreshes, deployment, and row-level security (RLS).

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five (5) years of SQL experience and three (3) years of Power BI development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
