Health IT Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver development support focused on Power BI for the HHS/NIH Department of Informatics.

• Offer informatics expertise regarding information management practices, workflows, requirements gathering, and analytics.

• Aid in the data flow within Healthcare Analytics utilizing computer systems and networks.

• Create SQL database queries, SSRS reports, Tableau reports/views and dashboards, along with automated email notifications.

• Oversee Tableau Server users, groups, schedules, data sources, and data extracts.

• Convert or transition Tableau dashboards and reports to Power BI.

• Transform business and reporting requirements into Power BI reports, dashboards, data models, and corresponding SQL logic.

• Reconcile and verify Power BI reports against Tableau reports and original data sources.

• Diagnose, test, validate, and resolve issues related to data, SQL, report logic, calculations, and visualizations.

• Design, modify, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.

• Analyze intricate data sources, joins, transformations, and business logic.

• Maintain system documentation and manage knowledge effectively.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, facilitate design validation, and conduct user acceptance testing.

• Address incidents related to supported solutions.

• Interpret and support users in utilizing generated data.

• Ensure that information is consistent, timely, and accurate.

• Oversee quality assurance initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain the necessary customer clearance for system, facility, equipment, and property access.

• Proven experience with healthcare or clinical data.

• Background in developing and supporting enterprise-level BI and reporting environments.

• Familiarity with Tableau calculations, data models, and dashboard functionalities.

• Experience with Power BI Service, including workspaces, gateways, data refreshes, deployment, and row-level security (RLS).

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• At least five (5) years of SQL experience.

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Power BI development.

• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
