Health & Group Benefits Consultant – EB Consulting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with consultants and actuaries to oversee large, intricate Health & Group Benefits client relationships and projects.

• Deliver senior-level consulting expertise on plan design, compliance, benefit strategy, and vendor selection and management.

• Spearhead marketing and vendor search initiatives for leave, disability, and group life projects.

• Assist in program implementations following the selection of vendors.

• Cultivate and enhance relationships with existing and potential clients, internal resources, carriers, and vendors.

• Identify and engage in opportunities to sell or cross-sell consulting services.

• Create marketing presentations for prospective clients.

• Monitor project activities, outcomes, and adherence to peer review standards.

• Establish and maintain connections with consultants across Milliman practices and carrier/vendor partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in Health & Welfare consulting.

• Practical experience in leave management, disability insurance, and group life insurance.

• Life and health producer license is mandatory.

• Comprehensive understanding of disability, leave management, and group life insurance coverages.

• Up-to-date knowledge of legislation, market trends, and issues impacting the Health & Welfare market.

• Strong familiarity with leave and disability legal and regulatory frameworks, including Paid Family and Medical Leave laws, FMLA, and ADAAA.

• Solid understanding of marketing/vendor search processes and capability to manage the entire process.

• Experience in collaboration with actuaries.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Effective time management skills and capacity to prioritize multiple complex projects.

• Strong problem-solving and research capabilities.

• Ability to handle time-sensitive materials and meet various deadlines.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
