This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Evaluate the security postures of clients and perform cyber risk assessments.

• Gain an understanding of clients' businesses to enhance their cybersecurity strategies and posture.

• Collaborate with clients utilizing internally developed methodologies, industry standards, and open-source tools.

• Engage with senior business leaders, security and IT teams, non-technical staff, and board members.

• Determine what assets need protection, prioritize them, and comprehend the operational impacts of cyber risk events.

• Facilitate interviews and workshops as necessary.

• Analyze gathered data to identify patterns, insights, and formulate recommendations.

• Present findings and suggestions through practical, achievable, and sustainable solutions.

• Manage exceptions and exert influence over clients and stakeholders.

• Operate independently and take the lead on smaller projects and individual assignments.

• Keep clients informed on relevant updates.

• Travel to client locations for meetings and workshops.

• Contribute to the development of internal tools, processes, and open-source projects.

• Promote awareness of company services and assist in proposing new services to clients.

• Engage in reverse mentoring with colleagues.

• Dedicate five days each year to pro-bono work through Cydea x Good Causes.

• Participate in open-source initiatives via cydea.tools.

• A few years of relevant experience.

• Strong aptitude for consulting.

• Eagerness to learn in a practical setting.

• Clear and concise communication skills in both written and verbal forms.

• Capability to evaluate security postures and conduct cyber risk assessments.

• Proficiency in listening to clients and asking relevant questions before making assumptions.

• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to dissect challenges into manageable components.

• Competence in documenting assumptions and estimates.

• Experience leading interviews and workshops, analyzing data, and recognizing patterns and insights.

• Skill in formulating recommendations and effectively communicating findings.

• Ability to manage exceptions and influence clients and stakeholders.

• Capacity to work independently and oversee smaller projects and tasks.

• Knowledge and interest in cybersecurity; extensive certifications are not mandatory.

• Willingness and capability to travel to client sites and meetings in the South East.

• Residency in the UK.
